TJ-CAD-DN32 — combined air and dirt separator for DN32 heating systems. A single body simultaneously removes air microbubbles and solid sludge particles — without stopping the system, without additional fittings, and without the need to find two separate installation points. Installed on the supply pipeline after the boiler or at a key point in the system.

How It Works

The heat-transfer fluid enters the expanded separator chamber — the flow velocity drops sharply. In the upper zone there is a coalescent insert made of copper wires in a honeycomb pattern: air microbubbles adhere to the wire surface, merge into larger bubbles, rise to the top, and are expelled through the automatic air vent. Solid particles — rust, sludge, sand — settle in the lower chamber under gravity. Accumulated dirt is drained through the blow-down valve at the bottom of the body in a few seconds, without stopping the system.

Applications

• New heating systems. When commissioned, the circuit always contains residual air and installation dust. TJ-CAD-DN32 keeps the system clean from day one.
• After flushing an old system. Deposits and sludge raised during flushing settle in the separator chamber rather than in the pump or valves.
• Gas or solid-fuel boiler. Protects the boiler heat exchanger from clogging and the circulating pump from abrasive wear.
• Underfloor heating system. The small pipes of the floor circuit are vulnerable to sludge deposits — the separator intercepts dirt before it reaches the manifold.
• Heat-pump systems. Clean heat-transfer fluid is a prerequisite for efficient operation of the heat pump heat exchanger. If the system contains magnetite, also consider the DN32 dirt separator with a removable magnetic ring.

Frequently Asked Questions

How does a 2-in-1 differ from two separate separators?
A combined separator means one installation point — more compact and more economical. If the air separator and dirt separator need to be installed at different points in the system (e.g. the air separator after the boiler on the supply line and the dirt separator on the return line before the pump), two separate units are more appropriate.

What is the permissible flow rate for DN32?
The maximum flow rate of the TJ-CAD-DN32 is 3,7 m³/h. This corresponds to heating systems with a capacity of approximately up to 40–50 kW at a temperature differential of 10°C.
