Dirt separator Termojet DN32 (1¼") 110°C/10bar TJ-CD-DN32

The TJ-CD-DN32 dirt separator protects the pump, boiler, and heat exchanger from mechanical contaminants in systems with DN32 (1¼″) pipework. It combines gravitational particle separation with magnetic contaminant capture via a removable magnetic ring. Flow rate up to 3.7 m³/h; dirt drain without stopping the system.

How It Works

The heat-transfer fluid enters the enlarged separator chamber and slows sharply. Solid particles — rust, sand, deposits — settle under gravity into the lower compartment. The removable magnetic ring on the body retains magnetic particles: iron sludge and magnetite Fe₃O₄, which an ordinary gravity chamber lets through. Accumulated dirt is drained via the bottom drain valve without stopping the system. The magnetic ring is removed, wiped clean of black deposit, and refitted — the procedure takes less than a minute.

Applications

• Heating systems ~20–40 kW. DN32 is the typical pipework size for homes of 150–300 m² with a gas or solid-fuel boiler. The separator is installed on the return pipe before the boiler.

How often should the DN32 dirt separator be cleaned?
First inspection — 3–6 months after commissioning a new or restored system, when the active corrosion and particle-carry phase is most intense. Thereafter — once a year during scheduled maintenance. Draining takes a few seconds; the magnetic ring takes less than a minute to clean.

Is a separate air separator needed?
