The TJ-CD-DN20 dirt separator protects the boiler, pump, and heat exchanger from mechanical contaminants: rust, sand, sludge, and magnetite. How It Works

The heat carrier flow enters the expanded chamber and slows down sharply. Solid particles — heavier than water — settle to the bottom under gravity. The removable magnetic ring on the separator housing "pulls" magnetic particles from the flow: iron sludge, iron oxides, and magnetite Fe₃O₄. The accumulated dirt is drained through the drain valve without stopping the system. To clean the magnetic ring, remove it, clean off the black deposits, and reinstall — the entire procedure takes less than a minute.

Heat Pump and Magnetic Separator DN20

Heat pump systems are particularly vulnerable to magnetite — the black ferrous sludge from corrosion of steel components. Magnetite accumulates in the narrow channels of the HP plate heat exchanger and gradually reduces its efficiency, and in neglected cases — puts it out of service. A standard dirt separator does not retain magnetite. The removable magnetic ring of the TJ-CD-DN20 "pulls" these particles from the flow and collects them in a safe zone. How is it different from a standard mesh filter?
A mesh filter retains particles larger than the mesh cell size and requires regular cleaning under pressure or with shutdown. The TJ-CD-DN20 dirt separator has no mesh — it uses gravity settling and a magnetic insert. No need to clean the filter element: dirt settles on its own and drains through the valve.
