Hydraulic separator Termojet in thermal insulation 2" HS-28

Hydraulic separator GS-28 with thermal insulation — Termojet's senior hydraulic separator with 2″ BSP female connection for high-capacity boiler rooms: up to 150 kW at ΔT=10 °C and up to 250 kW at ΔT=20 °C at a maximum flow rate of Gmax 14.3 m³/h. This is the solution for commercial facilities, boiler cascades, and large industrial boiler rooms where smaller-size separators can no longer handle the flow volumes.

How a hydraulic separator works: a low-pressure-drop zone is created between the primary circuit of the boilers (or cascade) and the secondary circuits of the consumers. When the flow rates of the circuits differ, excess heat-transfer fluid circulates through the separator body — pumps do not fight each other, and each circuit receives its design flow rate. The built-in air separator removes microbubbles to the air vent (½″ BSP male connection), the built-in sludge trap collects dirt at the bottom of the body and drains through a ½″ BSP male valve. The ½″ BSP male temperature sensor port allows connection of boiler-room automation or monitoring systems.

Applications: industrial boiler rooms, hotels, shopping centres, apartment buildings, boiler cascades of 150 kW and above, systems with high-capacity solid-fuel boilers. Frequently Asked Questions

When is a 2″ hydraulic separator needed instead of 1½″?
When the total system capacity exceeds 145 kW at ΔT=20 °C or the heat-transfer fluid flow rate exceeds 9.25 m³/h — the limiting values of the GS-27. If your boiler or cascade is connected via 2″ pipework, the GS-28 is the right choice.

Does the GS-28 remove air and sludge?
Yes. The built-in air separator vents gases to an automatic air vent (½″ BSP male connection), and the sludge trap collects sediment at the bottom — drained through a ½″ BSP male valve.
