Description
Termojet External Manifold Cabinet No. 05 — surface-mounted metal enclosure for housing an underfloor heating manifold with 12–14 outlets, with no wall recess required. Mounts directly to the wall, protruding 125 mm from its surface. Dimensions: 965×600×125 mm (width × height × depth). Made from galvanised steel with decorative doors. The ideal solution for renovation projects, existing buildings, or boiler rooms where cutting a wall recess is impossible or undesirable.
Technical Specifications
Operating Principle and Installation
The external cabinet is fixed to the wall with anchor bolts — no recess required. The enclosure accommodates the supply manifold and return manifold, main pipeline connection valves, a pump-mixing unit (if present), and thermal actuators. The doors close to give the technical assembly a neat appearance. Compared to the recessed version, the external cabinet No. 05 is 25 mm deeper (125 mm vs. 110 mm) — providing more internal space for pipe routing and additional components. Height is 600 mm vs. 575 mm for the recessed version. The recommended minimum height of the cabinet's lower edge from the floor is 40 cm.
Application Scenarios
- Renovation or refurbishment in an existing building. Cutting a recess in a load-bearing or brick wall is difficult or impossible — the external cabinet installs quickly without structural alteration.
- Boiler room or technical room. In a boiler room, wall aesthetics are not a priority: the cabinet mounts on the wall and the entire manifold assembly is housed inside.
- System with a pump-mixing unit. The greater depth of 125 mm provides additional space for pipe routing and installation of a mixing unit for the manifold.
- Large house with 12–14 circuits. Cabinet No. 05 is designed for a manifold with flow meters for 13 outlets — for homes of 250–300 m² with full zone control.
Advantages
- Installation without a recess — mounts on any wall without chasing or building work.
- Greater depth of 125 mm — additional space for pipework and components compared to the recessed version.
- Galvanised steel — resistant to moisture and condensation in technical rooms.
- Decorative doors — a neat appearance even in surface-mounted configuration.
- The No. 00–06 cabinet series covers all sizes from 2 to 16 outlets — choose the exact match for your manifold.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is the difference between the external and recessed cabinet No. 05?
The external cabinet No. 05 mounts on the wall surface and protrudes 125 mm — no recess needed. The recessed model (recessed manifold cabinet No. 05) is set into a 110 mm recess with only the doors visible on the surface. If you have an existing wall with no possibility of cutting a recess — choose the external version. If you are constructing a new room — the recessed version looks neater.
Will the external cabinet No. 05 accommodate both the manifold and the mixing unit?
The internal width of the cabinet is 965 mm. A 13-outlet manifold occupies approximately 630–680 mm. The remaining 280–330 mm is available for the manifold mixing unit. The 125 mm depth provides more space for pipework than the recessed version. Verify the unit dimensions before installation.
