The heat carrier is supplied through G 1" and distributed across nine circuits. Each circuit has its own flow meter (rotameter) 0–5 l/min — a float inside the transparent body displays the current flow rate. In a large system, loops vary in length: a 15 m² room has a shorter loop, a 40 m² living room a much longer one. Without balancing, the shorter loop draws more flow and leaves the longer one underheated. The flow meters allow setting an equal hydraulic regime at each outlet. The M30×1.5 sockets accept thermal actuators for automatic per-circuit control from thermostats.
9 underfloor heating circuits from a heat pump is the most efficient configuration. The heat pump generates a heat carrier at 35–45°C: exactly the range where COP 4–5 is achieved. Radiators at that temperature will not heat a room adequately, but underfloor heating does so with ease. The manifold with flow meters distributes the low-temperature heat carrier precisely among the circuits, preventing overheating and parasitic flows. What cabinet is needed for a 9-outlet manifold?
For 9 outlets, the manifold cabinet No. 03 is suitable (designed for 8–10 outlets). If a pump-mixing unit is additionally installed, take its height into account when choosing the cabinet depth.
Is there a manifold with valves for 9 outlets — and what is the difference?
Yes, there is a manifold with valves for 9 outlets. The difference is fundamental: valves only isolate a circuit but do not display the flow rate and do not allow precise system balancing. For 9 different loops in a house, flow meters are a necessity, not an option. A mixing unit is also required if the boiler delivers a temperature above 55°C.
