Description
Termojet Manifold Cabinet No. 02 External (surface-mounted) — protects and conceals the underfloor heating manifold with 6–8 outlets, mounting directly on the wall surface without cutting a recess. Dimensions 565×600×125 mm (width × height × depth) provide sufficient space for the manifold with air vents and drain. Galvanized steel, decorative doors — the assembly looks neat and remains fully accessible.

Purpose and Installation Principle
The external cabinet is fixed to the wall with anchors through the mounting holes in the rear panel — no recess-cutting work is required. A depth of 125 mm (15 mm more than the recessed version) compensates for the absence of an inset and provides more space for pipe distribution. The bottom is perforated — pipes are routed into the screed or into the wall from below. A height of 600 mm (25 mm more than the recessed version) also allows for a more open arrangement of fittings.
Installation is possible at any stage — including after finishing work is complete, when cutting a recess is no longer feasible or practical. The cabinet projects 125 mm from the wall — this should be taken into account when planning the space in a utility room or stairwell.
Applications
- Renovation or ongoing refurbishment. The most common scenario — the underfloor heating system is installed in a building where the walls are already plastered or clad. Cutting a recess damages the finish, whereas the surface-mounted cabinet is installed in a few hours.
- Thin partition walls. Interior partition walls 80–100 mm thick do not allow a recessed cabinet with a depth of 110 mm to be fitted. The external cabinet is the only option.
- Utility room or boiler room. Where aesthetics are less critical but installation speed matters — the external cabinet installs twice as fast.
- Manifold with 6–8 outlets. Cabinet No. 02 accommodates the flow meter manifold with 7 outlets or the 6-outlet manifold — the length does not exceed 450 mm, and the cabinet width of 565 mm provides sufficient clearance.
Advantages of the Termojet No. 02 External Cabinet
- Surface mounting without recess cutting — suitable for any wall and any stage of renovation.
- Depth of 125 mm — more space for pipe connections and fitting arrangement compared to the recessed version.
- Galvanized steel — corrosion protection in high-humidity conditions near pipework.
- Size No. 02 matches the 6–8-outlet manifold — no need to source non-standard solutions.
- Recessed alternative — recessed manifold cabinet No. 02 (565×575×110 mm) for installation in a recess, if the wall construction allows.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is the difference between the external and recessed cabinet?
The recessed manifold cabinet No. 02 recessed is installed in a wall recess — once fitted, it does not protrude. The external cabinet is fixed to the wall surface and projects 125 mm. The recessed version looks neater in living spaces; the external one is simpler to install and suitable for any wall. Functionally both are identical.
Which cabinet should I choose for a 6-outlet manifold?
Cabinet No. 02 is designed for 6–8 outlets and is suitable for the flow meter manifold with 6 outlets. For 4–5 circuits a smaller cabinet is sufficient — refer to the Termojet underfloor heating system catalogue, which covers cabinets from No. 00 (2–4 outlets) to No. 06 (14–16 outlets).
