Technical Specifications
Purpose and Operating Principle
The surface-mounted cabinet is fastened to a finished wall with dowels and fully covers the manifold, connecting fittings, and pipework emerging from the floor. Decorative doors protect the assembly from mechanical damage and allow a neat appearance in the room without concealed installation. The cabinet opens for adjusting flow meters, closing valves, or connecting thermal actuators. Unlike the recessed version, the external cabinet No.00 is installed on an already finished wall — this is the only option during renovation or when the wall material does not permit cutting a niche.
Application Scenarios
- Apartment or house renovation. Walls are already finished, plaster is applied — cutting a niche is too late or impossible. The external cabinet is the right solution.
- Utility room or storage room. Where aesthetics are secondary and quick access to the manifold is important — the surface-mounted cabinet is installed in a matter of minutes.
- Aerated concrete block or brick wall. Cutting a niche is difficult or risky — the external cabinet solves the task without demolition work.
- Small system of 2–3 circuits. Cabinet No.00 is optimal for connecting a 3-outlet manifold in a bathroom or hallway.
Advantages
- No-niche installation — fits any finished wall, requires no demolition or plastering work.
- Depth 125 mm — slightly more than the recessed version; connections and shut-off fittings are accommodated comfortably.
- Galvanised steel — corrosion resistance in humid rooms.
- Decorative doors — the closed cabinet looks neat even with surface mounting.
- If a niche is possible, consider the recessed cabinet No.00 for a fully concealed result.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is the difference between the recessed and external cabinet No.00?
The recessed cabinet is installed in a niche and does not protrude beyond the wall surface — the ideal solution during construction. The external cabinet is mounted on the wall and protrudes by 125 mm — suitable for renovation or when a niche is not possible. The size and number of outlets are the same, the width differs only slightly (335 mm in both), the height of the external version is slightly greater — 600 mm versus 575 mm for the recessed version.
How many cabinets are needed if I have 2 manifolds on different floors?
One cabinet per manifold. Choose the size based on the number of outlets of the corresponding manifold. View all sizes of external and recessed cabinets in the Termojet underfloor heating system catalogue.
