Air and dirt separator Termojet DN40 (1 1/2'') 110°C/10bar TJ-CAD-

The TJ-CAD-DN40 combined separator removes air microbubbles and mechanical impurities from the heat-transfer fluid in systems with a DN40 (1½″) connection and a flow rate of up to 5,0 m³/h. One unit replaces two separate devices, protecting pumping equipment, the boiler, and the heat exchanger from air locks and sludge.

How It Works

The heat-transfer fluid flow enters the expanded chamber and slows down. The honeycomb coalescent insert collects invisible microbubbles: they merge, grow, and rise to the automatic air vent DN15. At the same time, solid particles — corrosion products, sand, fine deposits — settle under gravity in the lower chamber. Accumulated dirt is drained through the blow-down valve in a few seconds without stopping the system.

Applications

• Medium- and large-capacity boiler rooms. DN40, flow rate 5,0 m³/h covers heating systems from ~40 kW and above — offices, small industrial premises, large private houses.
• New systems. Installation at commissioning ensures clean heat-transfer fluid from day one and prevents premature pump wear.

Frequently Asked Questions

When to choose DN40 instead of DN25 or DN32?
Follow the pipe DN: if the main system header is DN40 (1½″), the separator must match. Selection by flow rate: TJ-CAD-DN40 is rated for 5,0 m³/h, corresponding to systems with a capacity of approximately 40–80 kW depending on the temperature schedule.

Is it necessary to stop the system for cleaning?
