Constant differential pressure (Δp-c). The pump maintains the set pressure differential between the supply and return regardless of the current load of the large system. Δp-c mode is the industrial standard for district heating networks and boiler rooms: stable hydraulics even with sharp fluctuations in consumption (morning and evening heat demand peaks).
Proportional differential pressure (Δp-v). The differential pressure decreases proportionally to the flow rate as the load decreases. Δp-v mode is most efficient for systems with a daily and seasonal heat consumption schedule: at night or on weekends, the pump significantly reduces speed and consumption. The third mode — constant speed — is available for special process tasks.
An unregulated industrial DN100 pump consumes a fixed power around the clock — regardless of the actual heat consumption of the system at any given moment. The PM motor of MEGA 100-120F starts from 31 W and reaches 1523 W only at peak 66 m³/h. In a typical daily district heating schedule, the system operates most of the time at 30–60% of peak load — and the PM pump consumes proportionally less. Class A (EEI ≤ 0,20) is confirmed by the specification. The LCD display shows operating parameters in real time. Dry-run protection prevents damage in case of emergency pressure drop.
An industrial heat pump or HP cascade for a large facility requires a pump with a flow rate of 50–66 m³/h on the primary circuit. Is a separate frequency converter required?
No. MEGA 100-120F has a built-in frequency converter (PM motor with integrated inverter) — no external VFD is required. Operating modes are switched directly from the pump control panel.
