Constant differential pressure — Δp-c. The pump maintains a set pressure difference between the supply and return regardless of flow rate. Standard mode for large radiator systems and boiler rooms: when valves on individual branches close, the pump smoothly reduces speed and does not overload the system with excess pressure.
Proportional differential pressure — Δp-v. The differential pressure decreases proportionally to the flow rate. Optimal for systems with variable load, where the demand for heat carrier fluctuates constantly: commercial facilities, industrial boiler rooms with multiple circuits.
Flanged pumps of this class in unregulated versions consume several hundred watts continuously. The ECM motor of the APM-F 40/18 reduces speed along with the load — the actual average consumption during the heating season is significantly lower than the maximum value of 670 W. The electrophoretic coating of the housing prevents corrosion. Reliable EPDM rubber seals require no maintenance. Water cooling of the motor — the heat carrier cools the stator directly, noise level up to 50 dB.
For large commercial systems with a heat pump, where the HP serves a branched network and a flow rate above 10 m³/h is required, the APM-F 40/18 is the right choice. The ECM class minimises pump electricity consumption and does not reduce the overall system COP. The Δp-v mode allows the pump to automatically adapt to the variable output of the heat pump. Does the APM-F require maintenance?
EPDM rubber seals do not need replacement with normal heat carrier quality. The water-cooled motor has no wearing shaft seals. Maintenance is limited to checking the heat carrier quality and cleaning the filter upstream of the pump.
What pressure can the APM-F 40/18 withstand?
Maximum system working pressure — 1,0 MPa (10 bar). This is the standard for commercial heating systems. For systems with higher pressure, contact a Termojet manager to select the appropriate model.
