Operating Modes

Constant differential pressure — Δp-c. The pump maintains the set pressure differential between the supply and return lines at a constant level regardless of how many thermostatic valves are open in the system. The standard choice for radiator heating: even when most rooms have warmed up and the valves have closed, the pump does not overload the pipework with excess pressure.

Proportional differential pressure — Δp-v. The differential pressure decreases proportionally as flow decreases. When some circuits close, the pump reduces pressure on its own — noise in the pipes decreases and electricity consumption falls. Δp-v mode is recommended for underfloor heating systems and mixed radiator + underfloor schemes.
