Operating Principle

The manifold distributes the heat transfer fluid from the main pipe or pump-mixing unit across eight underfloor circuits. A ball shut-off valve is installed at each outlet of the supply and return headers: turn the handle 90° and the circuit is isolated. Ball valves are a sufficient solution if the underfloor heating loops in all rooms are approximately the same length. If there is a significant difference (for example, a bathroom loop of 20 m and a living room loop of 90 m on the same manifold) — without flow balancing, the short loop will overheat and the long one will underheat.
