The manifold distributes the heat carrier from the pump-mixing unit across seven floor circuits. Each outlet is equipped with a flow meter (rotameter) with a transparent cap and float indicator: the operator can see the actual heat carrier flow rate in l/min for each circuit and adjust it with the shut-off valve. Longer loops have higher hydraulic resistance and naturally receive less flow — the flow meter allows equalizing flow across all circuits regardless of their length. The M30×1.5 socket on each outlet accepts a standard thermal actuator for automatic per-circuit control.
Underfloor heating is the primary consumer of a heat pump. The system operates at a supply temperature of 30–45°C, while radiators require 55–70°C. Every +5°C increase in heat carrier temperature reduces the heat pump's COP by 10–15%. What makes a manifold with flow meters better than the valve version?
A manifold with valves only allows you to open or close a circuit. A flow meter shows the actual flow rate in l/min and allows you to adjust the flow precisely — this is critical when circuits are of different lengths.
