The Termojet 8-outlet flow meter manifold is the central heat carrier distribution unit in an underfloor heating system. The manifold consists of two parallel manifold pipes — supply and return. The heat carrier from the main line enters through the G1" port and is distributed evenly across eight underfloor heating circuits. Without balancing, a longer loop has greater hydraulic resistance and receives less heat carrier than a shorter one — some rooms heat less effectively. The built-in flow meter (rotameter) with a transparent cap and colored float shows the actual flow rate in each circuit in l/min. The flow meter's adjustment valve allows reducing flow in short loops to the level of long ones — balancing minimizes the temperature difference between rooms. The M30×1.5 sockets on each outlet accept standard thermal actuators: with zone control, the thermostat opens/closes a specific circuit without affecting the rest.
A heat pump operates most efficiently at a heat carrier temperature of 30–45°C — in this range COP reaches 4–5. Underfloor heating is precisely the system that consumes heat carrier at this temperature. What is the difference between a flow meter manifold and a valve manifold?
A valve manifold (with shut-off valves) only allows opening or closing an individual circuit. The 8-outlet valve manifold is suitable for simple homogeneous systems where all loops are approximately the same. A flow meter manifold adds precise flow metering — you see l/min in each loop and adjust the balance according to actual hydraulics. For a house with rooms of different sizes and loops of different lengths — flow meters are mandatory.
