The Termojet TJ-W manifold for 2 outlets with flow meters — stainless steel AISI 304, connection G1" – G3/4", length 180 mm. This is a compact solution for two-circuit underfloor heating systems: one zone is the bathroom, the other is the hallway or a small study. The flow meters allow balancing the flow in each circuit regardless of its length.

Operating principle

The heat transfer fluid arrives from the main line through the G 1" inlet and is distributed across two independent circuits. A flow meter (rotameter) 0–5 l/min is installed at each outlet — a transparent housing with a float indicator. The installer sees the actual flow rate in each circuit and adjusts it with the shut-off valve until the calculated value is reached. Such balancing guarantees even heating of the floor in both zones even if the loop lengths differ. The M30×1.5 sockets on the return manifold accept standard thermal actuators for per-circuit zonal control.

Application scenarios

Advantages

Underfloor heating and the heat pump

A heat pump reaches a COP of 4–5 at a heat transfer fluid temperature of 35–45°C. This is precisely the mode that underfloor heating uses — it is the only one that can fully realize the efficiency potential of the heat pump. A manifold with flow meters ensures even distribution of the low-temperature heat transfer fluid across the circuits without overheating individual zones. Frequently asked questions

How is a manifold with flow meters better than a manifold with valves?
A flow meter shows the exact flow rate in l/min on each circuit — the installer sets up the balancing by the figures, not by feel. A manifold with valves for 2 outlets is simpler and cheaper but has no flow indication. If the loop lengths are the same — valves are sufficient; if they differ — flow meters are needed.

Is a mixing unit needed for a 2-outlet manifold?
If the heat source is a boiler with a temperature of 70–80°C, then a mixing unit is mandatory: it will lower the supply temperature to a safe 35–45°C for the pipes and screed. With a heat pump the unit may not be needed — the heat pump already provides a low temperature. The system is always placed in a manifold cabinet No. 00.
